Jada Pinkett talked about her marriage in which the relation between the partners isn’t like that of a traditional marriage. The actress is well known to be in an ‘open marriage’ with Will Smith, where the two partners do not have all the marriage restrictions that those in the traditional marriage have on each other. She said she isn’t Will’s watcher in there marriage.
Having been invited on Howard Stern’s show SiriusXM, Jada pointed out that she doesn’t watch out her husband because he is a grown up. “Look I’m not here to be anybody’s watcher. I’m not his watcher. He’s a grown man.” Jada said. She explained of her trust to Will, saying she knows him to be a man of integrity. “Here’s what I trust. The man that Will is, is a man of integrity. So he’s got all the freedom in the world.” She said. “So as long as Will can look at himself in the mirror and be OK? I’m good.” She added.
Howard having been impressed by her personality, he interrupted Jada saying he wouldn’t risk losing a woman like her. “I don’t think Will would either.” she responded to Howard’s expression. Jada then revealed that who ever Will has a crush on is never a secrete between them. “You have to,” she said, “Just because your man is attracted to another woman doesn’t mean he doesn’t love you. It doesn’t mean he’s going to act on it.” She explained.
Jada also gave an assurance of their marriage being stable as opposed to the rumors that Will had cheated on her and their marriage was in problem. “He’s a man of great integrity,” she talked of her husband. Even though there’s no problem in their marriage, she said she has advised their children not to get into marriage, telling them: “Heck yeah, don’t do it.”
Coming out and assuring the public that their marriage is ok, and that both are fine with the ‘open marriage’ they are in, should be an assurance to gossipers and rumor mongers that their business of spreading false information about the couple is over.
