Mexico Offers Reward In Search Of ‘El Chapo’

Mexico, one of the South American countries known for having drug lords recently managed to catch one of the drug cartels. Unfortunately they have lost him. Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman who is one of the most known drug lords in Mexico escaped from jail through tunnel despite being under proper surveillance. Now Mexico still has tough time to find him, and on that note, it’s offering a reward to whoever will give the information on El Chapo’s whereabouts.

El Chapo’s escape hasn’t only shocked the Mexican government but also other parts of the world that know about the drug lord. United States of America which is strictly against vices like drug trafficking isn’t happy with the escape. While the search for the El Chapo continues, Mexico is giving an offer to any one who’ll help by giving information on where El Chapo is. 60 million pesos ($3.8 million) is the amount one will earn for informing the Mexican authorities where the drug lord is, and if the information leads the investigation to success.

El Chapo who has trafficked drugs for so long owns a drug empire worth billion dollars that operates globally. Before he was discovered to be a drug dealer way back in 2009, Forbes magazine listed him to be worth $1 billion dollar. The U.S. is now stands by to assist Mexico to track down El Chapo. “The U.S. government stands ready to work with our Mexican partners to provide any assistance that may help support his swift recapture.” Lynch said.
